Q: What blinds are best for my home?
A: At Yahmo Blinds we have a huge range of different types of blinds, it is best for us to design your blinds in your home. We can bring every type of blind to your home to see what best suits your needs and style.

Q: Do blinds fade?
A: Yes all blinds will fade but at Yahmo Blinds we use the finest fabrics and components available from our UV lacquered cedar blinds to our powder-coated aluminium Venetians to ensure the longest life possible. Many of our fabric ranges of window treatments have a block out coating to help protect them and our vertical and roller blinds have anti-fade pigments that ensure no colour change. Ask your representative to show you these ranges.

Q: What is your warranty ?
A: Yahmo's Signature range has a 5 year warranty. Yahmo's builder's range has a 12 month warranty.

Q: What colour is best for my home ?
A: Yahmo have the largest range of colour's and designs. Let us help you create the look you are after with our expert free advice.

Q: Are you blinds child safe ?
A: Yes. All Yahmo Blinds meet Australian Standards.

Q: What is the better product, real timber or fake timber Venetians ?
A: There is nothing better than the look and smell of real timber venetians, but we do have a range of timber look venetians.

Q: Do blinds reduce fading ?
A: Yes. All Yahmo Blinds will help reduce fading. See our representative for further advice.

Q: Will blinds keep my house warm in winter and cool in summer ?
A: Yes. They will also help reduce your heating and cooling costs.

Q: Should I have my blinds face fitted or recessed ?
A: This depends on the type of blinds you require. For example, a roman blinds is best to be face fitted but can also be recessed. If unsure, please contact our representative to ease your mind that you are getting the best product for your home.

Q: Are there any blinds that enable me to retain my view?
A: Yes. Sunscreen blinds are the perfect solution. At Yahmo we have a day/night blinds. Please ask for details.

Q: Which is better, lacquered or oiled cedar venetians?
A: We recommend lacquered. At Yahmo we use a UV lacquer to protect your blinds with virtually no maintenance.
Oiled cedar dries out with the sun and should be re-oiled very 6 months.

Q: Why is there such a colour variations in cedar venetian blinds?
A: Cedar venetians are a natural product and each tree is different giving each blind their own unique look, no timber venetian is the same.
At Yahmo we grade our venetians from light to medium and medium to dark. We source our cedar through re-growth forests only. The younger the tree, the lighter the colour and the older the tree, the darker the colour.

Q: Will my timber venetians warp?
A: At Yahmo we only use premium grade timber. Because timber is a natural product there may be slight movement but we guarantee our slats not to warp excessively.

Q: How long will my blinds last?
A: Yahmo only use the finest quality components. Therefore we can offer our famous five year warranty, but if well maintained your blinds will last much longer.

Q: Should I match my blinds to my walls and floor?
A: Choosing the right colour, texture and product could either make or break your room. For instance, if you choose blinds to match your walls, they make the room look bigger, if you match it to your floor it may make the room look smaller than it is.
